Joining dissimilar materials presents many challenges for industry but can bring significant benefits too including cost and weight reductions. Identifying which materials can be used in specific applications is one such challenge.
TWI is partnering with the Knowledge Transfer Network to deliver a one-day workshop to address the challenges of joining thin-gauge materials specifically in the aerospace, automotive and electronics industries.
The workshop, which takes place on 7 December at TWI’s facilities in Cambridge, will include speakers from industry as well as presentations from TWI’s experts on joining projects featuring friction, laser and electron beam welding, diffusion bonding, brazing and adhesive bonding. As well as excellent networking opportunities, the workshop will also provide attendees with the chance to participate in roundtable discussions and one-to-one sessions with TWI technical experts.
To ensure attendees get the most out of the workshop spaces are limited, so early booking is encouraged.
Register online and view the full programme.
Attendees can also opt to take a tour of TWI’s new state-of-the-art facilities, which will take place at the same time as the one-to-one sessions.
Presentations will be made available for attendees to download shortly after the event.
